I was married here in January of 2025 and it was freezing which also means it was not crowded. We didn’t have the need to rent the pavilion as it wasn’t a fancy event just a few people. Went there the day before and knew we would need to sweep it up Prior. Alot of trash and unmentionables but nothing else we couldn’t handle. Otherwise just the cold was what we had to deal with and that was our choice. Thank you.

Unfortunately, this area has become way overpopulated, and there isn’t much room, especially during the season.

When lifeguards are on duty, they can be very strict even though the creek is only about 7 inches deep at its most depth.

Parents be aware due to kayakers coming through because this is a common creek used for tubing and kayaking. On the positive end, this is common knowledge, so almost everybody follows social law.

There are many dining areas and picnic tables that are available and most of them have grills.

The bathrooms are absolutely abysmal.

It’s highly recommended trotting off into the woods to do your business.

The water is usually so much cooler than the bay so it is a great little shallow swimming stop. The play ground area is partly shaded so the littles ones don’t melt.
