Larrabee Dog Park is a highly rated dog park located conveniently at 652 N Larrabee St, Chicago, Illinois. It’s known among local dog owners for its friendly vibe, well-socialized dogs, and welcoming community. The park features a spacious fenced dog run where pets can safely play off-leash, making it an excellent option for those looking for a secure place for their pups to burn off some energy.
What makes Larrabee Dog Park unique for Chicago dog lovers are its thoughtful amenities. You’ll find plenty of seating for owners, water fountains for dogs, and in the summer, fun additions like baby pools and sprinklers to help dogs cool off. The park is generally well maintained, and waste bags are usually available for owner convenience. Plus, its proximity to the river means you can enjoy pet-friendly trails and a scenic walk outside the dog park itself. Larrabee Dog Park can get busy at times and the surface is mostly gravel/concrete, so it’s easy to clean but not grassy.
Gets crowded at times, but has a nice dog run, and of course you can walk by the river as well if the dog run is not your thing. Drinking fountain for pups is available. Plenty of seating. In summer, usually there are baby pools and sprinklers going for the hot days.

This was the best dog park I ever attended, I usually avoid dog parks due to aggressive dogs, but these were the most friendly dogs no matter how big they were, they played with my dogs with care my new fur baby Dino really enjoyed we will be returning soon

Even living a far walk away, I still take my dog here nearly every day. The dogs are usually friendly and well socialized, the owners are friendly but not over the top.
The only two minor issues I have with the park are:
-I wish the dog park had a non-concrete/gravel area maybe with grass
-Some owners can be a bit rude if another dog (usually mine lol) “steals” their ball. From my perspective if you bring a ball into a public park, then that is a risk you take.
Regardless, the park is great and deserves 5 stars!
