The Ludovico Sculpture Trail is a unique, pet-friendly trail located along the Canal Way in Seneca Falls, New York. This trail features a collection of sculptures, murals celebrating local history, and natural beauty that make it a popular destination for dog owners seeking a tranquil spot to explore. The mostly level trail winds under a canopy of tall hardwood trees, offering scenic views and peaceful spots to walk with your dog.
The trail is partially paved, making it accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, while also being lined with berry bushes for a bit of seasonal foraging. Benches are scattered throughout, offering owners quiet locations to relax and take in the art. Although the trail is not a traditional fenced dog park, it provides a safe and welcoming environment for leashed dogs to enjoy some dog-friendly hiking in the heart of Seneca Falls.
Real easy walk. A good portion of it is handicap accessible, in that it’s paved. If you’re a black raspberries fan the majority of the trail is lined with bushes full of berries. Just don’t wonder onto the private property that also lines the trail

Really nice Art trail along the River. Not your typical River/ Canal trail ( which is a compliment) interesting sculptures and quiet benches to enjoy the views. All this on a natural unpaved trail under a canopy of beautiful tall hardwood trees. (This is a mostly level trail).

Pretty cool trail. Some parts aren’t very well maintained, though.

It’s not a bad place to stop for a walk while we were traveling through the area. Nothing significantly interesting worth taking a detour out of the way though. There is only a handful of sculptures so far, but I imagine it will be nice as it is added to in time, and several murals with little historical tidbits about the area.
