Silver Valley Natural Area is a beautiful and peaceful outdoor destination in Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania, perfect for nature lovers and those seeking dog-friendly places. Located at 152 Silver Valley Rd, this park is known for its quiet wooded spaces, pet-friendly hiking trails, and scenic lakes — making it an ideal spot for a relaxing walk with your dog.
The area features a short grass and dirt trail leading to a small stream, with another larger lake across the street offering spots to sit and enjoy the serene landscape. While the park is smaller than some, it provides an inviting setting for dog owners seeking a break from busier locations. Just note that direct stream access may be private and some amenities common at larger dog parks might not be present here.
Note that there’s a trailhead on the west side of the road, i.e. opposite the map marker which is on the east side. That marker gives access to a short trail, some open space, and a lake not shown on the map. Stream access is private. The west side has a larger lake with a bench and memorial plaque.

A nicely wooded area, with a very short walk on a grass/dirt path, that takes you down to a small stream. Across the street from the Mineola Lake Preserve. I give it 3 stars because it is such a small place with limited access.
