Bring Poop Bags ! None on site and yet the signs are. Doggie pickup bags are available at other parks. Il State law requires owners to carry bags while walking dogs. If your dog poops once and ypu pick it up, you still to have another bag. I have 3 dogs and carry 6 bags.

We were looking forward to being at this park, but never found the off leash area. Walked all the way to the river, but no signage pointing to any dog area from the paved path. Apparently there is no fenced in area, only a grassy trail.

Awesome Forest Preserve and a great hiking trail. The trail has decent inclines, and crossing the Fox River under the Red Gate Bridge is really cool, with great views. The trail is mostly paved but has a couple of boardwalks and crushed limestone sections. There’s plenty of parking and a clean restoom.

My every morning walk with my dog Smokey. We love it and feel blessed to have this place to walk everyday. Dogs are off leash so if your dog has issues this is NOT the place for you.
