Please be aware, though, that some visitors note the park can be busy and occasionally has maintenance issues, so daytime visits are recommended. Despite its urban location, Oak Knoll Park remains a popular dog park in Massillon, Ohio, for those looking for shaded walks, play space, and a kid- and pet-friendly atmosphere.
At the Boys & Girls Club Every Tuesday 1130am-1pm anyone can get a free hot meal w/a drink that can eat there, usually non perishable items, sometimes pastry snack type items & lately occasionally frozen meats. Only during summer & days that kids wouldn’t have school they put meals in styrofoam container & all offered in a van then drive over to the park next to the small building,so that’s the reason I was there besides a few times I was out & about for other reasons that was able to take dog cruzin & was by park when saw no other or minimal people I stopped to make a happy dog memory 🐶🐾
Good place to bring the family and just hang out and bond
Just visited I grew up there if you’re not grown up in that neighborhood please don’t go to this park something could really happen bad to you. It is a beautiful park right across from the boys club.
Interesting historic park with HUGE trees and other amenities. Just keep your head on a general swivel bc it’s in a slightly sketchy area but normally not any issues especially during the day.
The park and trailhead here are both unkept and covered in trash and graffiti. Easily one of the worst trailheads and parks in the area. The towpath trail also leads directly beside the highway, so you get to just hear traffic the entire time, and deal with everyone’s immense amounts of litter.
It’s a shame that stark parks doesn’t want to take care of this, or didn’t build it in a better location.
