Best Dog Park I’ve ever used. Great water access for dogs that like it, tons of open space for dogs that don’t. In reality, it’s a 4.5 on the review just because parking isn’t technically legal on the north side, and south side you have to pay.

Mary loves this park! Small parking lot a short walk away, free after 5pm during the week. Fenced in and surrounded by water so you won’t lose your dog! Large area to play on land or water, Mary prefers the water!

Such a beautiful dog park and a great spot to sit by the river, write, paint, swim, and enjoy the scenery and the sound of the water and people nearby. This will always be one of my favorite parks in Missoula.

Spectacular, one-of-a-kind, walk-in park for able-bodied owners of dogs with good voice recall! Some descriptions of this park note that it is fenced on three sides, but it is NOT. There is a single fence separating the dog park from the other end of the island, and thick brush runs on the two long sides of the island— with breaks in the brush for river access. The double-gate does not lock. There are trash receptacles, waste bags, picnic tables, and benches closest to the fence; none at the river end. A best place to be a pup. 😊

Such a good place for the pups. I am thankful to have a safe off leash park. It’s always open, almost always drama free, and beautiful. For older dogs, or dog with bad hips or feet, be careful of the rocky end of the beach. The river comes over it in the spring but when it is dry it hurts the puppers feet.
