Nice parks by the Wanaque River. Pompton Lake Park 2, which involves Johnny E. Murrin Park (picnic area with approximate three or four picnic tables, ) Hershfield Park (dog park, baseball field, basketball court, two playgrounds.) there is a stone cross-bridge connecting between JEM Park and Hershfield Park. This is not a bridge for motor vehicles. Parking lot is by the basketball court and the baseball field in Hershfield Park. A middle size of parking lot, at least 12 or 15 parking spaces.

PLP 2 isn’t big, but you can still have fun in varied ways with kids, friends, and family of various ranges of ages. Beside what the two small parks have had for residents, ppl can also go for trout fishing, cycling, and easy hiking nearby and behind the Hershfield Park . BTW, I bumped into at least 12 beautiful deer. Hope you all have the same surprise, and have good time in Pompton Lake Park.
