Walked through here for the first time yesterday. No idea it was here.
Well maintained trail, very quiet and peaceful with lots of wildlife.
There is one main trail that is just under 3 miles, but has a longer extension if you want to do more and many “short cut trails” that allow you to head back to the parking lot if you decide partway through that you want to bail early. I really like that system.

A great trail that offers a wide path, several benches to take a quick break, and is easily accessible from anywhere in Gainesville

Newer addition to our local parks system and funded by the Wild Spaces half cent sales tax. Loops of differing lengths appropriate for different ability levels, but everything is flat and generally well mowed. Parts of the trail, especially the swamp loop, can be flooded or squishy after heavier rains, but generally you can get through with a good pair of sneakers. Nice bird diversity with breeding yellow throated vireos and chuck will’s widows in the spring and summer.

really lovely preserve with diverse trails ranging from sand, grass, gravel, etc. there’s a lot to see, different wooded areas, a little pond, lots of birds and moss, lichen and other cute things! unfortunately the air traffic and the nearby highway disrupt the peace pretty often, but otherwise a great place to get a little lost.
