The Town of Micanopy Ballpark, located at 702 NW 3rd St, is a peaceful oasis tucked away in historic Micanopy, Florida. The park is known for its beautiful oak trees, classic metal playground equipment, and a spacious layout that makes it great for families and dog owners alike. While not an official dog park, visitors often bring their dogs to explore the green spaces and unwind under the shade provided by the large trees.
The ballpark features a variety of sports amenities including multiple baseball fields, tennis courts, a mini disc golf course, park exercise equipment, and a playground area—making it ideal for both recreation and relaxation. Picnic tables under pavilions offer covered seating, making it a pleasant place for a lunch stop during your pet-friendly adventures in Micanopy. Please note that fenced areas exist, but gates may be missing or unable to be secured, and restrooms might not always be available.
Mark ballfield has some park exercise gear pull up bars. Sit up bench etc. also has a little mini disc golf course. Almost always the only one out there except for their couple people who occasionally play tennis on the tennis court.

This is a great park! The only problem is the mosquitos, there is millions of them. Bring bug spray or some kind of repellent.

I was having trouble getting to the micanopy historic district and saw a road sign advertising a baseball field. I like chilling at baseball fields often, so I thought I would check it out. Little did I know that it’s actually a while sports complex with multiple baseball fields, a tennis court, batting nets, disc golf, playgrounds, and more. And it’s all just tucked away next to some people’s homes. I was surprised. The day I went, there was literally no one in the entire park, so I had the whole place to myself other than two eagles who were eyeing me. I will definitely be coming here every now and then with my wife!

Such a cool little park with old school metal slides that my kids absolutely loved! Beautiful oak trees, quiet and peaceful park.
We were there on a Thursday afternoon and the bathrooms were locked (not sure why). There was also a fenced baseball field as well as another fenced area but the actual gates were missing so you couldn’t actually secure the area. We wanted to let our dog run a little bit off leash but couldn’t. A couple tiny poodles wandered over from a residence near by and our giant Goldendoodle was kind of pulling and freaking out – it would have been nice to be able to close a gate. But it wasn’t a big deal. We ate lunch under the pavilion at the picnic tables and enjoyed a beautiful day in this cute town!
