A nice, pleasant park, the only downside is that the golf course takes up a huge area, and there are very few paths for pedestrians and cyclists.
My dog is able to run free with other dogs her size. The area is well maintained, and everyone does great cleaning up after their dogs.
Made a quick stop here and we were more than happy. Since it was right next to the National Guard Recruiting Center we kind of didn’t see it on our left, it blends in naturally to the terrain. Smart design. Dogs had fun with other friendly visitors. Recommend a visit.
Found this park through a Google Map search as we traveled north on 64; locates about 10 miles off the highway, it offered a great opportunity for everyone, including the pup, to stretch legs! Cute pond where people were fishing, and geese were swimming. Quickly found the dog park area; there are three separate rooms where dogs can explore and interact off leash. There is a water fountain that allows pups to get some clean water refreshment too.
The park was clean, and even though there were a lot of people there, it was big enough that it did not feel overcrowded!
Mates this was a surprisingly awesome find!! Me and the family were driving to North Carolina on our we we decided to take a little break in Virginia and came across this beauty. Extremely clean it is very well maintained. You can go for a nice walk on their walk way that circles the whole park. They have a nice little pond with a ton of ducks and little stand you can pay a quarter to feed them. They also have a great kids playground. Take that special someone, take the dogs, take the kids or just take everyone awesome place to spend a few hours.
