Beautiful and peaceful land that I have been coming to for a few years now. The fist time I remember coming here was within a snow storm…enough to have a snow ❄️ day from work…and I wandered part of the way up one of the trails to just be in presence with the snow falling on the Pines 🌲 all around me.
Now I come here in all seasons to be and to wander. A stream flows through here offering calming sounds to begin and complete each wandering with. Today here, I admired mushrooms, ferns, knotweed, berries, red clover, jewelweed, goldenrod, and many more beautiful beings.
And, of course, my dear girlfriends, Eastern White Pine…Pinus strobus…are abundant here within this forested land and along the edge…a liminal space between grassy meadow and the woodland.

Good park for hike with kids and dogs. Several shady trails, a brook and tiny river, fields (golf? and others – not sure, im bad at sports, but large open spaces :)). Public restroom – I’ve seen the portable one. But we did not walk around entire park

This year, our family took part in coaching an instructional t-ball team with players ranging from 3-6yrs of age. There are porta-pottys for public use. All fields are clean, well maintained, and have a small storage box in the batting section with a few baseball supplies. All involved do their part to keep it clean. We recently had our jamboree, and the town made sure there was plenty of fun to be had. From baseball tic-tac-toe, to speed pitch/tracking the speed of each kid’s pitch, home run derby, bounce house. I think all the kids were most excited for the dunk tank! 2 more things: a concession stand with delicious hot dogs, chips, watermelon, and drinks and an amazing professional photographer for team photos.
Burleigh Park is a large park. I am still trying to find the time to explore further.

Pavilion is a nice shady spot on a hot day. Plus the brook is refreshing.
