Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]

Located within Claudius Crozet Park, the Crozet Dog Park is a favorite spot for dog owners seeking a spacious, pet-friendly retreat in central Virginia. This dog park features two separate fenced areas for small and large dogs, offering lots of room for pups to run and play safely. The park is surrounded by greenery and trees, providing a peaceful, nature-filled backdrop, and is wheelchair accessible for both the entrance and parking.
Amenities include water stations for dogs, shaded seating areas for owners, picnic tables, and access to public restrooms nearby. A unique feature is the dedicated toddler pool for pups who love to splash and cool off, with the play area footing covered in mulch to help minimize mud. Families will appreciate the proximity to kids’ playgrounds, making this park an ideal destination for both pets and children in Crozet. With clear signage from the main entrance and parking available near the baseball field, Crozet Dog Park is a convenient and beloved spot for local dog lovers and visitors alike.
This is an extremely large park. They even have a toddler pool so the pups can get wet. My girls loved it.
I did not see any dogs, but a playground.
Two areas–one for large dogs, one for small. Both areas have ample room for dogs to run. Only problem is they are not very visible and can be hard to find as parking is not where these are.
There is a path to the dog park behind the under 12 play area. Really enjoyed but wished there was grass. Love that it is nicely fenced.
The Crozet dog park is by far my favorite. It was a 30 min drive for me from my house in Charlottesville but well worth it. The Google map directions took me to Park Lane instead of the main entrance so when you see Gladius Park just turn in there and park to the right near the baseball field and there you will see the first sign for the dog park path. Then just follow the path to the dog park. It has a small dog area as well as a large fenced area. This park has water for the dogs, many trees and a shaded area to sit for humans. It’s also surrounded by greenery and trees so it has nice nature sounds as you play with your dog. The ground is all mulched so no muddy watering holes (I wanted to take my dog to a spot where he won’t get so muddy). The main area when you first pull into the park also has bathrooms for humans. Idefinitely recommend this spot for any in and around Crozet.
