Located in Sayreville, New Jersey, Bailey Park offers a quiet and spacious area for dog owners looking for a pet-friendly space to walk and play with their dogs. Though the park has a rich history as a lively community gathering spot in past decades, today it is a much quieter setting, making it appealing to those seeking a calm environment for their pups. Visitors often enjoy peaceful walks and time by the water, taking advantage of the park’s natural beauty and open space.
While Bailey Park holds a lot of nostalgic value for locals and is a go-to spot for those seeking solitude, it’s important to note that amenities may be limited. Some parts of the park, such as benches and old fences, may require maintenance, and there may not be modern features like lighting or active facilities. Dog owners should stay vigilant for potential hazards such as leftover fishing hooks, especially around any docks or water areas.

Nothing like it was back in the 50s, 60s and 70s. Families would all go for the day picnicking and swimming. It was a great place back in the day. Now? It’s a ghost town. You get what you vote for I guess.

Needs a lot of work done to the benches the old fence in the water could be removed the fishing pier’s are non existent there are a lot of dead trees and in the winter when it gets dark early there are no lights. Just recently I was walking my puppy there and he picked up a fishing hook left on concrete dock cost over 160 dollars to remove it I usually check the dock because there’s always hooks left there the next day I found more as seen in picture
