all the dogs and most of the owners are well behaved! Also, there is a really rusted pipe connected to the fence for some odd reason near the bench on the hill of the large dog side.
Very nice park, it is divided in two sections: one for all people (i.e. picnics *that’s my first picture*) and a second section for dogs (the rest of my pictures). Very clean place, enough parking -only handicap have parking spots next to the dog park, otherwise you need to park on section one mentioned above, it is a five minute walk. The dog park has two sections (small and large dog area).
Do not follow google maps directions. Park at the Oak Park Community park (free) and take the short 5-10 minutes walk to the hidden dog park. Good grass, water fountain. If you have two drivers, you can drive all the way into the park, get dropped off, and take the car back to the park.
As others have mentioned you have to park in the larger Oak Canyon park and walk to this dog park. There are only 2-3 handicapped spots in front of the dog park.
Besides that, the dog park is split into large and small dogs. Sadly, when we went on a weekday there were almost no other dogs here. The only other dog there was a larger dog but the other asked if she could play with ours. They just sniffed each other and ended up not playing haha…
The park has benches, lots of trash cans for poop. And a shaded watering center for the pups. Very clean overall.
It seems to have constant up-keep as well, as we noticed a worker tightening up fences while we arrived. That’s why everything was in great shape.
Secluded in a greenbelt, this dog park only locals seem to know. There are separate areas for big and small dogs, both with gravel and shade. My pup got to play fetch and chase squirrels nearby. There’s a water fountain for dogs, but bring bowls just in case. Clean-up stations are available, and the fence is sturdy—not the flimsy variety.
