I did 4.2 miles in just under 2 hours. A moderate trail, well marked with mostly wide paths consisting of rocks, roots and several boardwalks.I entered in an area off East Road in Atkinson which wasn’t marked at all. Plenty of parking once you drive down the gravel driveway. There is where you will see the signs. Only ran into a few people with their well behaved and friendly dogs. Parts of the trail are closed and have detours. If you try to follow the All Trails map, you will get lost. Just stay on the marked path and you will be fine. Saw a chipmunk, Pileated woodpecker and heard a heron and bullfrogs but couldn’t get close enough for a picture. I did stop at the viewing platform which overlooks a pond and saw a cave. The bugs were out but not bad enough for spray.
