This park needs security because every morning different teens skip school in order to smoke at the park and do drugs. The homeless visit the park do drugs as well. I had to meet a friend, and she is just in a tight situation and just had to bring her kid. So we ended up choosing this park, and it turned out to be a good decision. The place is clean. There is a play area and some benches, so her daughter was able to play and, she and I were able to to catch up. It was a great time indeed!
It’s chill, too dark at night. Needs more light so everyone can see each other clearly and closely. There’s a good hot dog spot posted here at night.
Needed time to kill, I googled parks and Devonshire popped up. Read some of reviews, checked out the pictures, it sort of convinced me. Since it was close by, I decided to give it a shot. First parking on the streets and its hard to find at 7pm. No biggie, since the park is literally on the side of the street. Secondly, the park is nice and clean; however, no restrooms. Overall its good park to go with kids. The only reason I give it 4 stars because of parking.
Devonwood Park is like the hidden gem of Mission Hills. My kids loved the playground, and I finally got to read a book in peace under the shady trees—total win-win! ????
