Located at 901 Fort Duquesne Blvd in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, Downtown Dog Park offers a convenient off-leash area for local dogs to run and play. Though compact and more like an open pen than a traditional park, it’s a dog-friendly space with city views that provides a quick option for letting your pup burn off energy, especially for those living or working downtown.
This dog park is fully fenced for safety, allowing pups to roam off-leash while owners socialize. The ground is mostly dirt and mulch, with very little grass, making it best for energetic dogs who aren’t afraid to get a little dirty. There are not many amenities, so bringing your own water is recommended, and seating is limited. Easy river overlooks and access to city walking paths add to its urban vibe, but plan ahead for parking and shade options.

putting a fence up around some grace at a 3 way intersection is not a dog park. Where do you park for this? How many roads should you have to cross for your dog to hang out in what is essentially a play pen? its a joke not a dog park, drive past for a laugh

Small park overlooking the river with a nice group of dogs. Bring water. Not much grass so dogs can get dirty easily

Would be nice if the City put in some benches for the dog owners to sit down.
Update, April 2022: they installed mulch as all the grass is gone but the mulch won’t last very long.
