If you’re searching for a dog park in Smithville, Texas, Bark Park offers a generous space for dogs to run and play off-leash. Conveniently located at 199-159 NW 1st St, this park aims to give local pet owners a place where their furry friends can exercise and socialize.
While Bark Park is appreciated for its size and friendly atmosphere, visitors should be aware that the grounds contain many grass burrs (stickers), which may stick to your dog’s paws. For dog families exploring pet-friendly trails and dog-friendly recreation in Smithville, Bark Park provides a dedicated space but could benefit from ground maintenance to enhance the experience for both pets and their owners.
This park is a nice size, but it has way to many stickers. I had family in town this past weekend, we took the dogs here but couldn’t even let them run around without them stepping on tons of stickers. It’s a very nice park, but they need to take care of this issue, having to clean paws of spikes every 2 minutes is not fun for the dogs or the owners.
