I went there last night with my well behaved dog. As I approached the fence to go in a couple approached me and my GF. The man said to me “there is a women over there with a baseball bat and a Rottweiler screaming to keep our dogs away from here”
I told him “I’m not afraid to say something to her”
So as me and my GF were walking the dog park trail we can see the women in the distance at the back end of the dog park.
As we approach the general area my dog started to approach her to say hello to her and her Rottweiler. Well apparently she wasn’t alone she must have been with her best friend or sister. While the sister held the dog back the other person starting swinging the bat low at my dog. She started screaming “get back, is that a boy or girl dog? GET BACK.
So I grabbed my puppy and pulled her back and i asked her “why do you have a baseball bat? Is that for your dog or other dogs?” She didn’t like that and proceeded to start screaming and cursing at me.
She quickly left cause it was around 7:30 at night
I immediately wanted to call the number on the dog fence for the constable but she has already left…….
So the way to describe the the women and her friend (so other people can stay away or call the cops) they were both large black ladies with short hair. They are welcomed at the dog park of course but what’s with the giant baseball bat and swinging it at other dogs and people?

I’ve been taking my dog and any dogs I sit for to this park nearly everyday for the last 2 months so it’s part of my routine! The park has a small dog side and a large dog side, separated by a bridge and separate fences. I’ve met a lot of great people and good friends here over the last 2+ years!

Our favourite spot to walk with my Pom around Harris country area. I like this peaceful place near the lake and wood. There are so many nice people and theirs dogs. I like this place because it has tree shadows and many benches around, these things make walking good even in hot weather. It also separate with huge dogs area. Usually they are just separated by a fence. So our little dogs not being scared by huge dogs barking. My pup is only 5 months old but he already met so many friends there and I’m very happy and proud of him.

We went here on Saturday around noon and it was not too busy and the people and dogs were friendly. There is a nice dog wash area so if your dog gets in the mud puddles like mine you can hose them down before loading them into your car. There are doggy bags for picking up poop if needed and there are picnic tables and shady spots to enjoy. My dogs enjoyed meeting other pups and everyone got along well. There is a fenced area for big dogs and another area for small dogs. There was a water fountain that allows the dogs to get a drink which was nice. Will definitely be back again.
