This is a very nice local spot my pup and I enjoy to go for a walk. The scenery is beautiful. It is an up hill walk as you are climbing gradually up the mountain. Each time we’ve gone it seems they keep it well maintained. Its a nice spot for a picnic. There is several tables under a covered Pavillion. Trash cans and restrooms are located in the parking lot and there are two out houses as you venture further along the trail

What a great trail system. Well maintained facilities with clean bathrooms and 3 Privy, which is unheard of where im from!! Great mountain biking experience. Makes you work for it but it’s worth it.

This is a cool spot. My first time there was to complete the loop with mtb. First off, the restrooms were clean. The trail itself was awesome. Little bit of techy climb with the reward of rocketship speed back down. Every turn is well banked to keep from accidentally launching of the Mt. It was about 2hr 15 min ride for me at a casual pace with photos at the top. The view is hard to beat. I got to share it with a praying mantis that felt the need to summit not only the Mt itself but the very tippy top of the rock lol. The pond evidently has crappie in it. I spoke with a fellow who had caught one. The rules state catch and release, which stinks. But with a little pond as that, it would be easy to fish out otherwise. Buzzard Roost is a cool spot, check it out!

Best views in Whitfield County! Highly recommend for day hikers and intermediate/advanced mountain bikers. The hiking trails at the bottom are well graded and easy to walk in tennis shoes. They have some moderate hills, but are very nice. If you walk up to the summit, I’d recommend hiking boots. It’s quite rocky on the summit trail and easy to twist an ankle. The trial to the summit is steep. Be prepared for a rigorous workout, but it’s worth it when you get to the top
If your mountain biking, it’s three miles to the top. Some technical areas, rock gardens, and lots of loose rock. Very fun/rewarding trail!
