This is a really nice rail trail. I mean, they’re all nice! But this one is more woodsy than some of them. The path could best be described as meandering. You can tell that it has been long abandoned. Roots abound. The area that bypasses the trailer park is somewhat rough. It could probably be mountain biked but I wouldn’t want to lol. I have a book that describes the access points but it was outdated. I accessed it from the armory street parking area. And I hiked to Melendy road. There is a new parking area at Melendy road that wasn’t documented in the book I have. You can still see the steps that once took you to street level to cross. Evidently the new culvert that is there hasn’t been there too long. I would say this parking area was recently built too. It is much larger than the armory street one. I started to go further south but the flies and mosquitoes just got too much for me. After finding the Melendy parking area I figured I’ll come back to it later and pick it up there and go further onward. Both parking areas are listed as areas you can map right to. I have included pictures of the new culvert at Melendy road. It is real nice and new!
