There are two parks worth noting in Superior, Lincoln Park and “The Rocket Park” as my family calls it. Lincoln park has camping pads with electrical hook-ups that are available for a reasonable charge, a picnic shelter with electrical outlets, bathrooms, and two play areas, one is a more modern play system with slides, bars and small climbing wall. The other is an older tubular steel playground that has THE… TALLEST… SLIDE… I have ever seen outside of a state fair. There is also a fenced dog run, and disc golf course. From shortly after Thanksgiving to Christmas, Lincoln Park becomes “Candy Cane Lane
with local businesses and families setting up a wonderful drive through light show. The light show is available for a free will donation.
The Rocket Park is a similar mix of older and newer equipment. There is a great shade tree to sit under while the kids play and numerous benches to sit on. The pool is located here as well and there are bathrooms at the pool building during the summer months. At other times of the year, there is a gas station across the street, as well as a Subway and Bagley’s Burger Barn within walking distance. The Rocket Park features an old spaceship styled climbing structure that my kids love to play on. THis park feels a lot more open though it is smaller than Lincoln Park and usually is a little more active as it is located more centrally in town. Both Parks have their high points, it just depends on the day which we are in the mood for.
