One of the only places to stay when visiting Great Basin NP. The place was as described- the room as described as well. Cute, new and well furnished. When you go- see if the very few restaurants in town are open- otherwise bring easy to cook meals, like we did. Really a great place to explore the NP.
Great service, just outside of Great Basin Park. I only grabbed coffee and stickers. (I did not stay in one of their rooms.) Prices were in line with the location. The 2 women working the in store were great. Definitely stop and support this business!
A kitchy little motel with friendly staff and a great location. There are 4 classic “Route 66” style rooms–smallish, reasonably priced, and clean. There are 3 new cabin style rooms that are larger with a kitchenette. Between both is a beautiful garden area to just hang at the end of a full day.
This business is a labor of love for the proprietorship, Liz and James, and that love permeates the property. Can’t say enough good things about staying here.
Cutest place ever! The room, while small, was fully equipped; so cozy and the water pressure is GREAT! that was a nice surprise. Comfy pillows and bed. The general store serves coffee ☕️ and tea 🍵 as well as walk in fridge with all sorts of good things to eat and drink. You really must visit!

Stayed in the new cabins for 4-nights while visiting Great Basin NP and the area. These cabins are fantastic, great shower, toilet and a firm but not too firm queen mattress. The medium sized fridge (not dorm sized) in cabin 6 & 7 allow you to utilize the kitchenette and associated dishes to cook almost any meal you can come up with. There is a/c and heat, a nice ceiling fan, and the location is right at the entrance to the park. There are no TVs in the cabin however the WIFI is fast enough most of the time to stream, otherwise it is fast enough to download and then watch in offline mode.
The General store has some basic food and libations, on Wednesday’s they make pizza which is absolutely divine and a must try! The general store serves as the check in office for the rooms and cabins and the focal point of the Baker community. Be sure to see what special events are being hosted at the store so you do not miss out! We attended bingo which was a blast!
If you are a fan of hummingbirds they are present in spades in the General store’s backyard, great photo opportunities.
Hands down this is the place to stay when visiting Great Basin NP!

It is tranquil! It is as if you have clicked your heels three times and been transported to this very special place! We had stayed with Stargazer a couple of years before, but this time we spent 3 nights exploring the Baker and Great Basin National Park/Ancient Bristlecone Forest area! The owners and other ladies in this inn/store are all such wonderful people! They all want to make sure you have the best experience while staying here! We planned our trip around the Full Moon Hike in which the owners lead you to a perfect place to see the full moon/stars in this area of WIDE OPEN spaces! At night, it is so very peaceful and tranquil! No traffic–just peace and quiet! Thank you so much for such a wonderful weekend! Y’all are the best!!!!
