Im new in Warrensburg. Was looking for a park to go with my children. The name confused me…lol. However, there was one picture of the playground that I liked. So we went there…
I don’t know how the dog part of the park looks like, but we did enjoy the playground.
Very good playground.

It’s sad that the people that use this dog park do not clean up after their pet. Whether it’s because no one else is there, they can get away with it or because they see no one else cleans up after their dogs! Also, if your dog is aggressive, and you know it, do not bring your dog. If they are aggressive about their toys, don’t bring any toys. If your dog doesn’t like males or females, don’t bring your dog!

The park has little to no grass, so my dog overheated quickly. There is no drainage for the water, so the dogs like to lay in the water. Bring towels.

Large area for dogs to play and lots of folks bring dogs. It’d be nice if the city maintained it better. Lots of sharp rocks. My dog tore his footpads running around.

EDIT 5/4/2025 : I later saw they have a sign posted that says “owner must make decision whether the play surface is appropriate for their pets paws.”
May be me, but all a sign like that suggests is the owner is aware the issue exists and has no intention of fixing the issue. That, and they want to cover themselves legally, as they push liability onto the owners. A dog park named after Old Drum should probably be doing better. Hopefully they will.
