Sprocket Dog Park is a popular spot for pet owners in Goshen, Indiana, conveniently located at 119 S 9th St. This community dog park offers a fully fenced and secure area where dogs can safely play off-leash. Known for its free and accessible amenities, it’s an ideal place for locals and visitors looking for a dedicated, dog-friendly environment in Elkhart County.
The park boasts separate areas for small and large dogs; however, the large dog section features more activities, while the small dog area is currently limited in features. Essential amenities such as benches, a water fountain for hydration, waste bags, and garbage bins ensure a comfortable and clean visit. Although there’s little grass and most of the surface is covered in shredded tires, Sprocket Dog Park provides a safe and enjoyable outing for socializing and exercise. Visitors appreciate the accessible location, but note that shade is minimal; remember to plan accordingly on hot days.
I am grateful that this park is free and accessible, but I am confused why there isn’t any grass. My dogs are disinterested most of the time because of the shredded tires, and the small dog area has nothing. I hope for improvements, as the park certainly has the potential to be better.
It’s ok for large dogs but small dogs have nothing to do in their area so we take our small dog to the big dog area. Where the owners of large dogs are irresponsible and disgusting people that don’t pick up after their dogs. The place has a garbage bin and bags! Quit being lazy owners it just shows how little you care for your dog.
Wonderful fenced in area. Secure and safe for owners and dogs. Water fountain for hydration, waste bags for poo, and benches to sit on.
This dog park looks so cool if you have a big dog. We have two dogs under 25 lbs, so we don’t get to use the fun side you see in all the photos. It’s just an empty fence. Would love to see the small dog side get some fun things to do like the big dogs have!
Super excited that there is a dog park in Goshen now! The facilities are small but definitely well done. Water on site which is super important. There isn’t much shade so be aware on hot days it may get a little too hot for your dog. My only complaint is with other dog owners: please pick up your own dog’s poop! The city even provides handy bags so you don’t have to bring your own!
