Whiskey had a great time at this park. A weekday during our lunch break is a nice and quiet time to visit. It’s a small park with only 30 or so yards of waterfront. But the river access is a safe location to swim because there are some shrubbery downstream to protect you or anything from getting swept away. It also slows the current down in that spot.

Didn’t stay long, windy day & I forgot utensils for my lunch… gand it’s pretty though… I’ll be back for longer next time!
Well it’s not really a park. There’s nothing there, no playground or even any benches that I saw. However, it’s a nice LITTLE spot to get river access. If you’re wanting to float the river, this is a good spot to drop in.

Now accessible from a trailhead off of W. Riverview Dr. The elevation drop from the Riverview trailhead is about 500′. However, it’s an easy elevation change. I had no problem hiking up it with my 2 year old in my backpack. And my 5 year old did it with no whining whatsoever.
The trail is nice a wide, big enough for a truck. But no vehicles allowed. While the trees block most of the views, there is a good bit of shade which was nice. The trail drops down to the river. There are quite a few swimming holes, though the water is usually quite low by the time it warms up. But all in all, its a great family hike!
