I love to go this place all the time. Feels very relaxing here.
Very large beach. Lots of space. Easy access. Dog friendly side was very accommodating. Great weather and very little crowd
Perfect launch pad for boats, kayaks and paddle boards. Although, I wouldn’t bring a boat since the water level is clearly down. We didn’t see anyone on the river compared to many other areas along the way. Love this spot.
Short 30 minute bike ride from downtown Guerneville. Fairly flat and a decent shoulder most of the way. The beach is really nice and gets a wonderful amount of sun during the day. Walking distance to a couple small shops but not much in the way of food except Fern’s Pizza which was closed for repairs when we went. Public restrooms were closed but it was January which is off season for the Russian River.
Lots to experience and enjoy from Redwood forest to the Russian River and the bucolic Sonoma Coast…all short drives from Rio Nido, Guerneville, Monte Rio and the other West Sonoma county towns
