Beautiful new trailhead with portable toilets, hand washing stations (although no water when I tried to use it), and picnic tables. Not much shade so plan accordingly.
This is a new trailhead and trail that when complete will connect the West Orange Trail and the Seminole Wekiva trail.
The Neighborhood Lakes trail is 2 miles long, with another .8 mile as you cross the Orange County line that will be a part of the future West Orange trail extension. When the Wekiva Parkway is finished, another 5 miles or so of new trail going east will link to the Seminole Wekiva trail, and the west end which now ends at Sorrento Rd will eventually go to Mount Dora.
Update 1/2023- the Wekiva Trail is complete, you can now ride east 6 miles from here and connect with the Seminole Wekiva trail. Permanent restrooms are also in the process of being constructed.
