Bannon Creek Dog Park is a convenient and well-shaded dog park located at 2780 Azevedo Dr, Sacramento, CA 95833, making it an excellent stop for those traveling through the area or local dog owners seeking a community space for their pets. This pet-friendly park is tucked away next to a school, providing a peaceful and secluded setting for on-leash and off-leash play. The park features a large grassy area that is maintained by the local parks department and offers plenty of tall trees for shade, making it an inviting spot during Sacramento’s warm summer months.
Though the park does not have separate areas for small and large dogs, it is a welcoming space where dogs of all sizes can interact and play together. Dog owners will appreciate the self-filling dog water bowl and ample shade, though it’s important to note that restrooms and reliable poop bags are not available, so come prepared. Easy highway access and proximity to local neighborhoods make this dog park a favorite for many Sacramento locals.
This dog park is a great secondary dog park. It’s not separated between small and larger dogs. It’s more of a community dog park for big and small to play together. I would advise if your dogs aren’t easy to get along with then this park isn’t for you.

No restrooms, no waste bags!
Stopped on our way through Sacramento. Not far from the highway, lots of shade, dog fountain! But make a human rest stop first because there are no restrooms here and bring your own bags because all three waste stations were empty and looked like they had been for a long time (covered in spider webs)

Small park, but it is all grass and well maintained by the parks dept. There is a self filling dog bowl, just be sure to bring your own waste bags. Lots of trees here offer plenty of shade. It is our favorite park close to our house.
