It’s a pretty neat trail, nothing too crazy, a slight uphill but really nice for families with kids. There’s a picnic area about a half-mile up the trail.

IMHO, one of the best, maintained trails in the area. Crushed stone surface, well-marked, interpretive signage, easy grades and slopes, nice 1-mile loop, varied habitats: from swamp to river to hills to meadow. Not over promoted in the area, so you won’t see crowds.
