Kalahari Waterfalls is a hidden gem for dog owners seeking a pet-friendly hiking experience in Pocono Township, Pennsylvania. This scenic spot is located near the Kalahari Resort and offers visitors a peaceful woodland trail that leads to a charming, picturesque waterfall. Perfect for those who love adventure with their pups, the trails provide spots for breathtaking photos amid streams, ferns, and lush Pennsylvania greenery.
While primarily a hiking trail rather than a traditional dog park, this destination stands out for its unique combination of natural beauty and dog-friendly access. Pet owners are advised to wear sturdy shoes, as the path is rocky, can be slippery after rainfall, and features steep sections. There is convenient parking near a helipad behind the convention center, and the trails are dog-friendly, making this a top choice for exploring nature with your four-legged friend.

This was a wonderful surprise find. The trail was hard to locate but so worth it once we did. Would highly recommend if you are staying at the Kalahari resort

Make sure to read the other reviews for directions. They work well, but pay attention! Lovely little waterfall. Ferns around. Trail is stoney so wear sturdy shoes.

Thanks to previous reviews we were able to find the falls. I posted a picture of where we parked. Once we parked there was a sign, and an area of cut grass that led down to the woods where the trail can be accessed. It was a dry day but I’d imagine it would be slippery to walk the trail after rain because it was very rocky and uneven. Once you access the trail from the parking lot we marked, go left, you will come to a switchback in the trail, it was marked when we went…follow the curve and continue downhill. You will come to a clearly human made bridge, cross the bridge and go to the left…you will hear the falls.
