This is typically a nice, quiet place to walk your dog. Sometimes there’s homeless there. But they seem to keep to themselves when I’ve seen them and I just hold onto the leash a bit tighter, so my dig doesn’t go bother them. But they must get kicked out pretty regularly, because sometimes they are there, other times I have the park to myself.

I recommend going somewhere else, this place is no longer a dog park but basically a homeless encampment. Which by itself isn’t bad they leave you alone, but it’s that there is trash EVERYWHERE. Broken glass, unhygienic thrown clothing, human waste. I am never bringing my dog back here for fear that they might get hurt or sick.

It’s a shame because I used to come here a couple years ago and loved it. It was a nice quiet clean walking dog park that your dog can have sniff walks on.
Too bad it’s not like that anymore.

This was a decent dog park to come to until more homeless started showing up. That in and of itself isn’t an issue but the trash they have been leaving behind isn’t just abhorrent but should be reprehensible. There are multiple trash cans they don’t use and have been using the trees to relieve themselves. I’d include pictures of the toilet paper and wipes I found but it would be impossible to not include the literal s#¡+ that comes along with it.
Having been homeless myself, these people need to do better and leaving all this trash behind for weeks at a time is insane. Especially when this place isn’t just next to a school, it’s obviously the entrance to the sports fields when they have games open to the public. This isn’t just gross or sad, seeing people day drinking and passed out here for whatever reason sets a bad example. The trash and paraphernalia they leave behind are also a safety risk for everyone, even the homeless themselves. People should also be aware that they are also riding their motorcycles and sports bikes in the parks too.
Cleaning up just makes it worse and seems to encourage what’s happening. So I’ve just decided to just stop picking up after them and not come here anymore.
