Located at 760 Jefferson Rd, Penn Hills Dog Park is a well-maintained, gated recreational area designed for the enjoyment of both dogs and their owners in Penn Hills Township, Pennsylvania. The park offers a spacious, fully fenced environment where dogs can safely play off-leash, making it a top choice for local pet owners seeking a dog-friendly spot to socialize and exercise their pups. With its welcoming community, plenty of shade, and convenient amenities, it’s the perfect weekend destination for dog lovers throughout the Pittsburgh area.
Visitors appreciate the clean grounds and the regular availability of waste bags, making responsible pet ownership easy. The park features several benches for owners to relax while their pets play, and there’s a porta john onsite for visitor use. Guests note the ample shaded areas, making the park comfortable even during summer months. Accessibility is also a highlight with wheelchair access at the entrance and parking lot. While water for dogs is not provided on-site, bringing your own is recommended to ensure your furry friend stays hydrated.
Great gated park to take your dog! It has plenty of fenced in room, doggie bags, water, and toys. Very well maintained.
Beware!! An unknown breed of dog, likely a rescue named Harvey, attacked our 7 month old Goldendoodle pinning him down. The owner couldn’t move quickly enough to stop the attack before our puppy was yelping for help. He screamed not to grab him, so we agonized as we waited for him to arrive (our mistake that will be handled differently next time should we encounter this elsewhere!). The park itself was maintained properly, and rules were posted for owners, if they would actually abide by them.
We recently moved to the area and were pleased to discover such a nice little dog park close to home. So far everyone we have met has been pleasant amd friendly. My small dogs have not had any trouble getting along with the other dogs, even the big ones.
Nice clean and well kept little park with a few benches. Lots.of shade. There is a Porta John available for the humans and bags for cleaning up after dogs are always stocked. Must bring your own water as there is none available.
I just feel like small children shouldn’t be at a dog park. 😕 my dogs are friendly with kids however they are big dogs and excited dogs, they will jump and lick and If my dog knocks ur 2 year old over that shouldn’t be my fault , when it’s a dog park . I refused to even get out of my car yesterday due to this reason.
People are friendly and dogs will be dogs. But they have their special place and special friends 🧡.
