This honestly might be one of the best causal parks in town, totally not because we were drinking and they had ponies around. Wide open spaces multiple venues, a gazebo, big crowds, big parking lot. Plenty of space, with plenty of wilderness, and accessible bike trails

There were some unusual clouds in the sky. You can also see Flattop easily from here.

Tried to go for a walk in the woods today… that did not work. Within 300 feet of the parking lot, I slid on a huge pile of dog poop in the middle of the trail. the amount of dog poop on the ground is astounding! I counted over 17 piles of dog poop left on the trail within 300ft of the parking lot. After sliding on the poop I walked in the grass to get it off where I was again smeared with more poop hidden in the grass up the side of my shoe and pants! This is absolutely disgusting. There is a children’s playground within 200 feet of all this poop! Are you really ok with your kids around all that bacteria. And dogs off thier leashes! Almost every dog off thier leash. Some of us are not ok with dogs! There are leash laws for a reason. Bad dog owners make it unsafe for some of us to even enjoy these trails. Please send someone from the parks and recreations to investigate all of this. It’s unsafe and absolutely disgusting.
