Crawford is a great resource for dog owners who like the opportunity to let their dogs off leash legally and protected by a fence. It’s reasonably well maintained, has a double gate entrance, a nice pedal-operated water fountain for the dogs, and a supply of pick-up bags available. There are occasional canine squabbles, but they’re quickly de-escalated by responsible people. I haven’t yet witnessed any human arguments, but hope springs eternal. It’s a roomy enough field to separate yourself from the others and throw a ball in relative solitude, if you wish.
This is like any dog park in the sense that it’s hit-or-miss as far as who you’ll see there and if it will be a good exercise session for your dog. I hasten to add that I am an infrequent visitor here, so have not identified hours when it’s busy, although that’s pretty easy to guess.
