Escambia Extension Park in Cantonment, Florida is an up-and-coming community park that recently added a private, reservation-only dog park area, perfect for dog owners seeking a peaceful and controlled environment. The space is all fenced in and features plenty of mature trees to provide shade during those sunny Florida days. The park stands out for its pet-friendly trails and nearby walking paths, making it a convenient spot for both dogs and their owners to exercise and relax.
This dog park requires reservations via the Sniffspot app, allowing you and your pets exclusive access during your booked time—ideal for reactive dogs, multiple dogs, or owners preferring privacy. The area is well-maintained with doggy clean-up bags, water on site, and shaded seating. Beyond the dog park, Escambia Extension Park offers playgrounds, walking paths, basketball courts, and a small botanical garden, making it a great destination for the whole family.
No pets are allowed. It’s actually a pretty small and cruddy little park. The photos make it look much nicer than it actually is. I was disappointed.
Used to be a nice little 9 hole course requiring some technical skills throwing around or through low hanging branches. They just had a tree butcher come in and remove almost ALL obstacles. Might just as well throw in an open field and save yourself the drive!
We love this place. The walking paths are mostly flat and easy for strollers. The garden isn’t as easy to navigate, but we enjoy seeing the flowers and bumblebees galore, so we get through it!
This is a quiet and pretty place to come and get re-grounded with the earth. Well maintained and accompanied by a loved garden area.
Nice walking path amongst oaks and a disc golf course. And…bonus! A small botanical garden- maintained by the county master gardeners. Plenty of parking and a port-a-potty. Lots of Pokémon, too.
