🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions
If you’ve spent time at an off-leash park, you’ve probably seen it:A parent strolls in with a stroller 🚼 or […]
Duson Park is a spacious community park conveniently located at 101 B Robin Rd in Duson, Louisiana. Loved by local dog owners, it offers a large, open area where pets can run and play. The park is considered good for kids as well, providing an inclusive space for families and their pets to enjoy time outdoors together. It’s a popular spot for walking, casual play, and relaxing in a natural setting with your furry companions.
While the grounds offer plenty of room for everyone, amenities such as restrooms and playgrounds are currently limited or unavailable. Recent reviews note the park could use maintenance and updates—especially with building facilities and lighting at night. Despite these challenges, Duson Park remains a go-to outdoor retreat for dog lovers in the Duson area seeking a convenient, local option for daily walks and playtime.
My dog enjoyed it!!!!
There is no playground swings slides etc.
Um they need football field changing room and concession stand
It is run down and nasty. All the buildings are falling down and need to be rebuild. The city needs to add play equipment, tennis courts, and a splash pad.
If it were possible to rate less than 1 star I would. Town of Duson will not do any maintenance on park. Park was being maintained by Lafayette Consolidated Government. Park is now maintained by private citizens who come and cut grass in ball fields. NO BATHROOMS. Pavilion is extremely dangerous.
This park could be great source of pride for Duson if ball field area converted to fishing pond. There is also plenty of room for a Youth Soccer Field which children of Duson need! New residents have moved in near park and parks main road entrance has been blacktopped.
Park is poorly lit at night and should have crime cameras installed as on South A and B Robin streets. Duson PD does monitor park at night. Living directly next to a public park I’d thought would be enjoyable however when park is rundown disheveled eyesore, well not so much.
