The Off-Leash Dog Area at 6460 NW Oak Creek Dr offers an expansive, scenic spot for dog owners seeking a true off-leash experience in Corvallis, Oregon. Known for its beautiful natural surroundings, this dog-friendly area is set amidst large, shady trees and wide-open spaces ideal for exercise, socialization, or a peaceful stroll. Visitors follow paved trails from nearby parking lots (such as the Bald Hill Trailhead) to reach the unfenced off-leash zone, making it perfect for well-trained pets under voice command.
This pet-friendly trail is meticulously maintained, with benches dotted along the way for owners to relax and take in the serene views. The park boasts a separate area for small, more timid dogs, and bark dust is added to minimize mud during the rainy season. Clean water bowls and friendly, responsible dog owners further enhance the experience. A great destination for both active dogs and those seeking a quiet, sprawling escape, the Off-Leash Dog Area is one of Corvallis’ most celebrated destinations for dog-friendly hiking and open space fun.
Awesome park. Very clean with paved trails and restrooms.
Love to go there. There are benches along the trail. You can take a rest while your dog’s running all around.
FYI, although the directions make it look like you can drive to this dog off-leash area, this is not the case. You need to park at the posted trailheads (on Reservoir Road, at the Fairgrounds, or on Oak Creek Drive) and take a short walk to the off-lease area. Motorized access is not allowed at other points, regardless of what Google Maps shows.
This is a beautiful place to take a stroll with your dog. You have the option to have the dog off leash, however, the area is not fenced. The actual “off-leash dog area” is not accessible by car. You park at the Bald Hill Trailhead parking lot, and follow a paved trail to the off leash area.
The added bark dust keeps it from getting muddy. They also have a separate area for small dogs if they get nervous (or the owner does:)
