Very disappointed regarding splashing place the did not open kids we’re waiting for so long was very hot we just got frustrated it’s already 11:15 pm and still waiting 😏
This is a beautiful playground. Many families bring their children here to play. There is a really cute fountain the kids can play in on hot days.
This is one of my favorite places. It’s actually a very large area with picnic tables, fields to walk in, soccer field, children’s playground, exercise equipment, in a very large area.
The children’s playground has a splash fountain during hot weather. It has all sorts of swings and slides. There is a building that does have public restrooms.
It’s a very clean and safe part of DC, and kids and their families are always there.
I like this playground. It has the water jets coming from the ground which is great fun for the kids and there is shaded seating for parents . YAYYY! There are playground sets around the water area as well as basketball court, tennis court, easy parking and a clean restroom. It’s unisex so no issues there. Started my daughters 2 yo birthday party there and it was the perfect fit for our plans on a very 🔥 day.
This playground has a lot of great features. A miniature splash park or water sprinklers for kids to run through, which to some, is no water park. There are 3 full benches and 2 small ones for visitors to eat at. A nice size open field to play on or have team activities. There is workout equipment that is good for both children and adults. There is a fenced-in mini soccer field and basketball court. It all sits in a quiet neighborhood with small businesses nearby to get something to eat or pick up something quick for the house, get your hair cut, or just take a short walk. There is also a nice pool and tennis courts and baseball diamond right next door.
However, be careful of the rats that like to come out of the garden next to the playground. I know some people have a deep phobia of rodents and one should not be surprised to see 2-3 scurrying around, just near the garden. In addition, sometimes the equipment on the playground is not at full use (like the swings). Lastly, my son’s school paid to get permits to reserve the field and bench area last week. When we showed up, the bench area we reserved was ABSOLUTELY FILTHY and DISGUSTING. It was not fit for the children we were bringing to enjoy themselves. So we had to get brooms and trash bags to clean up before we played. It was too time consuming and greatly disappointing.
Overall, I would go back for the amenities, but it’s not one of my favorite playground after my last experience there.
