Lovely trail. It quickly splits into a river trail and valley trail if you choose to walk north.

A lovely trailhead to experience the upper stretches of Rock Creek Park. Some of the beaches are really lovely for dogs and kiddos to throw rocks and explore the stream but it’s still DC and there is still trash, sadly. The trails weave all over the place though and you can walk straight down to Georgetown nearly uninterrupted by the city around you.
