Little Forest Park, located at 5430 30th St NW, Washington, DC 20015, is a tranquil pocket within the greater Rock Creek Park and a favorite green space among locals and dog walkers. Conveniently situated near the Friendship Heights metro station and nestled in a charming northwest neighborhood, the park offers pet-friendly trails, paved paths for strollers, and plenty of tree cover making it an ideal spot for dog-friendly hiking in Washington, District of Columbia.
Perfect for a leisurely stroll or a quiet day out with your pup, Little Forest Park stands out for its peaceful atmosphere and well-kept walking paths. Shaded by mature trees and equipped with benches and small seating areas, this park is a great spot for dog owners looking to relax. While it is a dog-friendly area, local rules require dogs to remain on-leash at all times and owners are expected to clean up after their pets. The park also features water fountains, open green spaces for informal play, and easy access to kids’ playgrounds, making it a well-rounded spot for families and their furry friends alike.
Some good trails to walk in. Roads are far enough away to be quiet. I’m not sure what the branch collections are. Becareful with the leaves on the ground. Slippery, and they hide lots of tripping hazards. Sometimes you come across people meditating and smoking Gonja while there.
