Gran Paradiso Park is a quaint, neighborhood park located near McKay Dr & Avenida Elisa in San Jose, CA. This small, welcoming park features a large grassy area perfect for walks with your furry friend, as well as a playground, half basketball court, picnic benches, and shady trees. While not an official dog park, many dog owners in the local area often visit, giving it a pet-friendly vibe for those seeking dog-friendly parks in San Jose. The lush greenery and scenic backdrop, including views of nearby mountains, make it pleasant for both people and their pets to enjoy some fresh air and relaxation.
The park is best suited for casual walks or playing with your leashed dog; however, it’s important to note that there is no fenced or designated off-leash area specifically for dogs. Amenities include picnic tables, BBQ grills, a playground for kids, and plenty of shade, though there are no permanent restroom or water facilities (so plan accordingly). Street parking is available and seating areas let you unwind while your pet explores. Gran Paradiso Park’s friendly and relaxed atmosphere makes it a popular spot among locals and families seeking a community green space for themselves and their dogs in North San Jose.
Very small playground mostly used by neighboring clicky residents.
Quiet little park, with playground and a half court basketball hoop. Little patch of green grass, picnic benches.
A simple and small park for young kids. Nice little grass area for you and your kids to run around in. Half court basketball to practice your jumpers or play a game. A few bbq grilles around the park, although I haven’t seen any of them used yet, maybe in the summertime. Good place to unwind and be with your family honestly.
A wonderful but miniature single-serving sized park for limited but much needed activities. There is a single basketball hoop available for half-court basketball games. A 75 yard oval shaped grass area for picnicking, sports, or just catching some rays. In the Spring, the large park bushes come alive with beautiful pink and white flowers. Barbecues available on either side of the park with picnic tables, and a gated playground in tan bark for children ages 5 to 12. Only drawback, no bathrooms in the park.
Small but good place for kids to enjoy
