What a beautiful forest, especially in autumn with the falling leaves and the contrast of green, yellow, and red colors. A gift for the senses.

I like that many trees have plaques explaining the species, the fruit, its uses, and whether it’s edible or not. We’ve seen fawns and a rat snake during our walks.

The downside is that, despite the many signs asking people to keep their dogs on a leash, there are still those who let them run free, apparently not caring that, no matter how well-trained their dogs may be, animals are curious and follow their instincts. They can step on bird nests or scare the local wildlife. I find it very irresponsible, and it’s truly exhausting to have to get into arguments every time we go hiking in this beautiful place.

I ran into this park while riding my motorcycle and it was a great find. Nice scenery, clean and peaceful. Perfect place to relax or self reflection. Dont know how it is in the summer, but I’m sure it gets packed. They have BBQ grills and picnic tables everywhere and for any size crowd. The wild life looked socialized and it was a pleasant experience. Definitely a hidden gem for those who wish to disconnect from the everyday.
Enjoy!

We went hiking in the park and really enjoyed it! The trail was about 3 miles round trip from parking lot(1.5 miles each way), just the right length for a relaxing and comfortable walk in nature. The path was peaceful, the air fresh, and the views along the way were beautiful. A perfect way to spend time outdoors and get a little exercise without overdoing it. Would definitely do it again!

We park in the lot off of route 9w next to The 9W Market. That parking lot is free.

This is one of our favorite places to come for all seasons. There is the paved trail that is convenient to walk on. But the real fun and beautiful part of the park is the long path trail. During the summer it’s very buggy but in spring and fall, it’s perfect to explore the inner side of the long path. The foliage is other worlds during fall. It’s about 2-3 miles total to loop around via long trail.

This park is very beautiful and great for Hikes. They provide limited parking which is free during the week but they do charge on weekends. During summer hours if you do not come early the parking came be full. They have a Pool that is Seasonal during summer days only. For Pool members parking is free. They provide a playground and Bbq area with bathroom facilities. While hiking I see deer and beautiful butterflies it’s very peaceful 🕊️.
