If you’re searching for a welcoming dog park in Dobbs Ferry, New York, The Summit at Dobbs Ferry offers a great spot for your furry friends. Residents rave about its peaceful, well-maintained atmosphere, wood chip surface, and nature-focused surroundings. With both large and small fenced areas, your dog can safely run, play, and socialize off-leash. The park’s hills and Hudson River views add to its charm, making it a favorite for locals seeking dog-friendly outdoor fun.
The park is kept clean and features basic amenities such as water sources (seasonally available), toys, and separated spaces for dogs of different sizes. There’s always plenty of room for pups to exercise, thanks to the spacious enclosures. While it’s primarily a residents-only park, its family-friendly vibe and regular maintenance ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone – both humans and dogs alike!
I’ve lived here for three years, my car was booted on a random workday morning—despite my valid parking pass being inside the car. The pass simply wasn’t placed behind the mirror at that moment.
When I called the towing company (Alex’s Towing in Tarrytown), they held my car hostage and demanded NULL in cash. Since I don’t carry cash and had no other transportation, I was forced to cancel my work meetings and scramble to withdraw money—all while being told, “Figure out how to get to a bank and call us when you have cash.” This is predatory behavior, designed to pressure residents into paying on the spot.
Even worse, the leasing office refused to intervene, claiming the towing company is a “third-party vendor” and that I should be the one to fight them. This is an irresponsible way to treat residents. The property management should be targeting illegally parked vehicles, NOT PUNISHING RESIDENTS who are already registered to park here.
I’m posting this here because the management seems to respond to public complaints, whereas my previous attempts to contact them regarding other matters went unanswered.
The Summit has been a fantastic place for us to raise our girls! The past 11 years have been a blessing. Everyone from management to maintenance are always extremely helpful and supportive. Including friendly neighbors! We also love the beautiful neighborhood, which is surrounded by nature. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new place to live and call home!!
The maintenance team here is fantastic! Every time I’ve submitted a request, they’ve responded quickly and resolved the issue quickly and efficiently. They’re professional, friendly, and always respectful of my space. It’s obvious they take pride in their work and care about the residents. It really makes a difference knowing we can count on them especially Rene and Jose—thank you for keeping everything running smoothly!
Lived here for 1 year and moved due to school and work. Overall, my experience here was great. 1) Managment was responsive and reachable. When you call the office 9 out of 10 times you will speak to a representative. Nicole, Rene, and Del both were quick to respond to any questions or concerns. 2) I got locked out 3 times and each time someone assisted me within 10 minutes. Even the cons were managed with professionalism and quickness- They completed maintenance for a pipe or heater in my apartment and the workers stained my bedsheet with dirty water or oil. Once I provided documentation my next month’s rent was credited for the value of my comforter. The matter was resolved with 3ish days.
The only negatives are the high rent, ants, and neighbors that smoke. My apartment, especially bathroom, were small. But the rent did include water, heat, and gas. The ants were dealt with a NULL pesticide spray so it’s definetly something manageable but you need to be proactive about. Also, they did try to dissuade people from smoking in the complex and I believed it did work like 80%.
Oh also recieved my secuirty deposit within 1 week of moving out, which is a huge plus!
Lived here for six years. It is a beautiful community!
Very affordable with free parking, heat. On site gym and laundry. Very peaceful and quiet. Dobbs Ferry riverfront is nearby and a very good park. Just walking around in the community is relaxing too. Very safe neighborhood. Not sure why other reviewers had any issues, but management was always very responsive with our requests and always helpful. Loved living here.
