Huge dog park. Mr. Petty would be proud.
Went to play pickleball, which by the way is a blast with a mixed variety of old and young and just straight up fun Was impressed by the various activities, the facilities, the dog walk which my little dog Lilly adored, so many friendly people.
Nice park with baseball fields, tennis courts, playground for kids, dog park, pavilion with picnic tables, restrooms, Community board for info 🙂
Have visited this park since ’65,always beautiful. Plenty of space. Ball fields that have hosted softball, flag football,a visit from the King and his Court(a softball fast pitch 4 man team)”,etc. Racquetball courts at one time and tennis courts. Personally, I enjoy picking up burgers at Macs on 10th Ave. and enjoying them here(a tradition). Equipment for the kids. I would consider this park a historic place and not only because of it’s name but also because of it’s name.
One of the many parks in Gainesville. This one is nice and spaced out. They have a wall ball court, big and small dog parks, playground off to the side and baseball field. Tom Petty was one of my favorite artist so stopping here was a must.
