Used to live in the area 11 years ago and we used to go to this park all the time.
11 years later and this park is still the best dog park I have ever gone to. It is well maintained, people need to pick up their dog’s poop, but otherwise still a beautiful park.

I used to take my dogs here all the time before COVID. One passed away and the other is 15. So I decided to take my 2.5 year old standard poodle to the park for the first time. 99% of the dogs and people are very kind. My dog while friendly with everyone didn’t quite understand that “off leash” doesn’t mean abandon your owner lol. It’s ok though most of the time if you just stay where you were separated from your dog they come back. If you go off looking for them the odds of you finding each other goes down.

The park is a great large space for dogs. The beach is awesome. However, SUPER FILTHY especially on weekends. It amazes me how dirty and irresponsible humans can be when utilizing a community space. The paved walkway is sometimes like playing Minesweep.

Wonderful hike for us and our dogs. The back trails are great for tiring out the dogs. Cannot stress how much of a gem this is.

Really nice park, lots of open space, after a decent walk you and your dog can enjoy the beautiful lake! Well maintained.
