Cute small park. No restrooms and one picnic table.

It’s small but it’s a great place to picnic with your family. There is never a whole lot of people and it’s easy to keep an eye on your child.

I’ve always liked going here and now the city has upgraded this park very nicely! Love it!

Always pleased w/this park, over all. Never less than an enjoyable experience @ Veterans Park (or is it Detroit Park?). Seems like when I read the sign walking into park on my last visit (few days ago) I could’ve sworn there was an entirely new/different name..like, College Park or somethin?? Which 1 is it, Parks & Rec Dept.??
Assuming it’s not “technically” a City Park? Otherwise, it would have free wifi…right?

We came to this park to eat lunch. We decided to sit in our car because the 1 picnic table was occupied. I was a little disappointed at the lack of shade but I did notice there’s shade over the table. The play area for kids seemed nice and looked to have plenty of play area. The area around the park seemed nice and quiet. There is no bathroom on site and that’s why I only gave it 4 stars. All and all this park seems like a nice park to bring the kids if you make sure they used the bathroom before coming. I would recommend this place to friends and family with or without kids.
