Best dog park I’ve ever been to. It’s huge and has a trail that goes through a forest area that’s still fenced in. It has two dog/human fountains and plenty of seating. I take my dog here very often.
Wonderful huge park! I love that you get to also walk around the park while your dog runs and plays till his heart is content! Fun woods extension that is like an obstacle course for your doggo! Love this place, and well maintained.
Park is nice, just much smaller than Shawnee mission dog park. There are water amenities. Being April of 2025, there were several areas tied off for either construction or landscape repair. Other than being an eyesore, it only prevented minimal room from being used. The dogs that were there and off leash seemed to behave well.
Great dog park! Nice and spacious for your dogs to run, a little trail off the trail for a more wooded shaded walk for your dog to explore. My dog had a blast with a lot of friendly dogs.
Our first day was first spent walking the outer perimeter to settle our 6mo old’s anxiety and get her used to all the other pups. Although she is a very loving people pup, she has only fairly recently had her rabies vaccine, so I have not allowed her to be around other animals unless she was in a shopping cart experience. So, once her nerves settled and she stopped with the barking and just seemed to be excited, we made our way into the park. Day 1, we were 100% on lead all day. With all the walking trails and interactions, all on lead. She did great! Walked great, played well, no aggression, no barking, showed signs of submission, allowed other dogs to approach her with no fear and just enjoyed her day. Day 2, we started off walking the trails and playing on the lead. We then met a friend she was playing really well with. After talking to the other pup parents that were in my approximate area in which their pups were playing with mine, they agreed that she was doing great and felt she was ready to be off leash to play. WELP, HERE GOES NOTHING, IN JESUS NAME- AMEN! There she goes!! Off to play with her new friends! Such a proud momma moment! Day 3, let’s try walking the trails and let her lead the way! Straight into the gate today! No need to walk the perimeter like the first two days! Took her right off the lead and off she went to do her sniffs and to find a new friend. Didn’t take her long! After her friend had to leave, we spent a couple hours just walking the trails and paths, sniffing and small plays along the way. Day 4, same as day 3! She’s getting a hang of this park thing!! I love seeing her playing so well and being so happy! Just warms this mommas heart!
