Love hiking Sugarcreek. Well groomed trails and great scenery. Always see various wildlife
This used to be a great park years ago. It was well maintained (leveled out, crush and run on the trails, vegetation kept down), but now if it rains a little it’s a mud pit for days. The only maintenance on trails is cutting down fallen trees. How is that well maintained (like some other reviews mention)? On top of that it is extremely crowded at almost all times (thanks COVID) and you’re likely to find paths blocked with people with double walking sticks refusing to let anyone by, pass, etc. It started going downhill when they doubled the size of the parking lot (which was rarely filled even back then). There is even a sign saying “please pass single file”, but either the people that go here can’t read, or they don’t care. There are far better parks in the area.
It was a nice trail to take our 3 small kids! We followed the green till the blue trail and it was so beautiful!
Visited a couple times and each time was so peaceful and pleasant. Beautiful Osage Orange tunnels and Oak trees that are over 550 years old.
Absolutely beautiful location, great for walks.
Last time me and my friends were there it got a little dark before leaving and we got some great photos! Would recommend to any trail lovers 100%
